The start of each new school year can be an expensive time for families, and we are here to help through our School Savvy initiative. First launched in Maryborough in January 2026, School Savvy brought the community together to support more than 200 families, helping children start the school year with confidence and the essentials they need to learn.
In January 2027, the School Savvy Pop-up Shop will return to Maryborough and expand to Hervey Bay and the Gold Coast, helping even more families ahead of the new school year. To make this possible, we need your help. Through community support, donations of pre-loved uniforms, school supplies and cash donations, together we can ease the financial burden on families and ensure every child feels included, confident and ready to learn.
Centacare’s School Savvy initiative supports families by easing the financial pressure of back-to-school expenses with low-cost uniforms and school supplies.
