Centacare Quality Care Advisory Committee

At Centacare, we take our promise that care is our calling seriously and are committed to continuous improvement of our services so we can support the best possible outcomes and experiences for the people we serve.

The purpose of the Quality Care Advisory Committee is to recommend improvement opportunities that may exist in relation to service quality, risk and governance processes.

The Centacare Quality Care Advisory Committee will be made up of people who bring relevant sector experience in the provision of care in health and/or social service fields, as well as a genuine interest in the provision of high-quality and safe care.

This will include:

  • senior staff members of Centacare with appropriate experience in the provision of aged care
  • at least one member who is a Centacare employee who is directly involved in the delivery of aged care services (such as  a senior clinician or service manager employed by Centacare)
  • at least one member who is employed by a provider other than Centacare and directly involved in the delivery of aged care services
  • at least one member who represents the interests of aged care recipients (such as a member of a consumer advisory body, a member of an organised consumer advisory service, or a care recipient advocate)
  • at least one member who represents the interests of disability and mental health care recipients (such as a member of a consumer advisory body, a member of an organised consumer advisory service, or a care recipient advocate).
  • at least one member who represents the interests of domestic violence service consumers (such as a member of a consumer advisory body, a member of an organised consumer advisory service, or a care recipient advocate)

Together the members will offer a mix of clinical, quality, governance, consumer, and lived experience perspectives.

The advice and information provided by the Centacare Quality Care Advisory Committee will be shared with the Quality, Safety and Client Committee of Centacare Council. Being a part of the group will be an opportunity to contribute to improving services and support for Centacare clients and the communities we serve.
